A1A's first all original CD "Ship Happens!!" was originally written and recorded as a limited edition concept album for "The Parrothead Cruise of 2003" by Carnival Cruise lines. As it turned out, response was so overwhelming that the band decided to release it officially as their first all original CD. Recorded in front of a sold out house of frenzied Parrot Heads in Marietta, Georgia at A1A's home away from home, Hemingways Tropical Bar and Grill, the 14 tracks on this intimate live CD have various local musician friends sitting in, including Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band sax player and horn section leader, Amy Lee; Chaz McDonald (then of Vertical Smile and now of A1A), Koney Ferrell, Jerry McCollum of Vertical Smile and steel drum veteran Wendy Peet. This CD is special to the band for it brought them back to record on their home turf in front of all their hometown friends and fans. Thus making for a special evening and a special recording.
